Job Description:

Design, install, configure, and maintain an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. The selected individual will perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs, network design and architecture verifications and futures expansions, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Additionally, the position will require technical leadership to drive issues to resolution and optimization of the existing environment, along with technical oversight regarding growth and supportability.

Required Skills:

  • Hands on experience in the implementation and administration of complex, multi-location, multi-vendor, converged voice/data networks in a geographically distributed environment.
  • Experience of one or more solution providers like Cisco, Juniper, VMWare, Arista etc.
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus 7K,5K,2k environment in the Data Center Expert-level experience with routing protocols BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Cisco EVPN VXLAN and Cisco DCNM.
  • Hands-on experience on VoLTE, VoWifi, VoNR/Vo5G, 4G, 5G packet Core Network including network design, deployments/configuration, testing and troubleshooting, and data collection.
  • Strong knowledge in 5G Radio and subsystems architecture, implementation and ecosystem In-depth technical knowledge and experience in designing and deploying Telco networks using cloud-native solutions.
  • Exposure & strong knowledge of O-RAN specs, TIP/Open RAN projects, and/or ONF SD-RAN.
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise in automation, performance, lifecycle management, public/hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Experience administering and configuring monitoring tools for proactive alerting and trends analysis.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience of working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
  • May also design network and computer security measures.
  • May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software solutions.
  • Perform network design and configurations of Cisco Nexus 7K,5K,2k environment in the Data Center Expert-level experience with routing protocols BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
  • Design, develop and configure Cisco EVPN VXLAN and Cisco DCNM.
  • Research, design and develop Telecommunication networks and telco cloud solutions based on 3GPP and ETSI standards. Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications as related to CU and DU and RU.
  • Deep understanding & practical knowledge of one or more Telecommunication network domains like RAN, Core, Wireless Access Transmission, Wired Access Transmission etc.
  • Extensive experience in solution development and validation including Telco Cloud Platform, RAN, Open RAN/O-RAN, LTE/4G and 5G deployments, OSS/BSS, platform models such as NFV and distributed/federated edge platforms (e.g. ETSI MEC).
  • Design and deliver 4G/5G- 5GNSA,5GSA/ Volte/Vowifi/VoNR/Vo5G solutions for multiple CSPs in Oceana region.
  • Responsible for radio optimization of 5G/LTE (Long Term Evolution) networks to troubleshoot and improve wireless network KPIs.
  • Also responsible for 5G optimization covering Sub6 optimization, DSS optimization, mmWave (millimeter wave) Optimization, VONR (Voice over New Radio).
  • Perform analysis of network KPIs, investigation and improvement of network quality problems.
  • Implement new features and tuning 5G/4G (LTE) radio network parameters.
  • Implement new RAN (Radio Access Network) features and tuning of RAN database parameters.
  • Strong knowledge of 4G MME, SGW, PGW and 5G packet core network functions and implementations of AMF, SMF, CHF, PCF, UDR, NEF and trusted AFs.
  • Work with the ACI Policy orchestration including switch policies, interface policies, ANP, AEPs, Virtual, Bridge Domains, EPG, Contracts, subjects and filters.
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise, develop domain specific solutions and architecture to support complex deals in standalone or in multi-Business Group opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • The Network Design Engineer will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/electronic/software engineering /information technology and or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in related experience and certifications in related networking domain will be plus.
