Job Description:

Selected candidate will utilize wireless networking architecture with focus on 3GPP/ LTE/ CBRS/ 5G/ MEC/ WiFi-6 standards, wireless network elements (Core/ RAN/ OSS/BSS), Network Slicing, Security, The RAN Solutions Architect will work within the Advanced Technology Services Operations Team and will be responsible for technical engagements by preparing and presenting customer focused Product and Technical presentations, Statements of Compliance (SoC), Statement of Work (SoW) for customer professional services, RFx responses, Deployment and Testing at customer labs for Proof of Concepts (PoC) and Field Trials (FTs).and Cloud-first architecture. You will promote wireless technology architecture and lead the cross-functional teams to strongly influence product roadmap, including network architecture, building reference designs, sharing information, and vendor management.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience in wireless technologies with focus in standards, network architecture, and systems design.
  2. Proven ability to architect, design, lead teams, promote, and deliver new product roadmap with a long-term vision for deliverables and milestones.
  3. Experience and knowledge working with Service Providers and Engineering for 5G, ORAN, vRAN, Cloud RAN and LTE solutions
  4. Highly focused on details associated with one or more systems such as wireless networking (Core/ RAN/ OSS/ BSS), Network Slicing, MEC, Security, Cloud, and APIs.
  5. Create product technology architecture and development roadmaps.
  6. Excellent soft-skills and efficient communicator across onsite and remote teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess new product requirements, develop technology and architecture solutions and evaluate performance.
  2. Produces Technical Bulletins, methods of procedures, and other relevant technical documentation to enable handover from proof of concept stage to trial teams / wireless operations to deploy and manage any new wireless network infrastructure. Will provide expertise throughout the handover period by participating to the trials on need basis.
  3. Responsible for new technology development and validation to include: Studying new technology trends, impacts of such technologies on wireless strategy and services offering(s), and validating capabilities of such through lab evaluation and possibly field trials.
  4. Thorough hands-on knowledge of LTE small cells, CBRS FW, mMIMO and familiar with 5G architecture, with a clear track record of excellence managing wireless access engineering systems.
  5. Hands-on experience with new product introductions in lab and field with major Global service providers.
  6. Able to lead complex projects.
  7. Strong technology expertise, proven leadership skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, superb technical skills, and a strong customer-service orientation.
  8. Operational experience with LTE, LTE-A, WiFi including industrial technology domain
  9. Proven hands-on expertise in setup and configuration of LTE networks (RAN and Core) with a major equipment vendor.
  10. Experience with Cloud development platforms (AWS, MS Azure, etc.) and/or virtual network functions.

Qualifications:

  1. BS degree in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science or similar experience.
  2. Eight or more years of experience in wireless technologies with focus in standards, network architecture, and systems design.
  3. Highly focused on details associated with one or more systems such as wireless networking (Core/ RAN/ OSS/ BSS), Network Slicing, MEC, Security, Cloud, and APIs.
